Welcome to Team Glory Ride!

Are you ready for the ride of a lifetime? Gino Bartali was.

In the 1940s, Gino was the most famous man in Italy—after Benito Mussolini. His Tour de France and Giro d’Italia cycling victories earned him the nicknames ‘The Lion of Tuscany’ and ‘King of the Mountains.’

However, the legendary Tour de France champion led a secret life. During World War II, Gino conspired with the Cardinal of Florence and a mysterious accountant to save hundreds of persecuted innocents. With his cycling career as a cover, Bartali pedaled thousands of miles between cities across Italy, hiding falsified identity cards and other secret documents to help victims escape Mussolini’s Fascist regime.

Welcome to Glory Ride, an awe-inspiring tale about perseverance, community, and strength. Glory Ride brings Gino’s story to the stage with an epic musical score, shedding light on a forgotten but important chapter of Italian history with a most unlikely hero.

Glory Ride made its world premiere in summer 2023 at London’s eminent Charing Cross Theatre. Now, we’re racing to find this remarkable show’s new home. If Gino’s story resonates with you, we encourage you to sign up for our mailing list and follow us on socials so you'll be the first to hear about where the journey is taking us next!

With deep gratitude and excitement,

Victoria, Todd,

& the entire Glory Ride team
